Kim Thornley has worked in the D.C. metro area as a director, choreographer and performer in dinner/community/children’s theatre, dance companies and with the Wolf Trap Opera Company. She received dance training at the Stone-Camryn School of Ballet in Chicago and Gus Giordano Dance Center in Evanston, Illinois. She performed with the DuPage Ballet Company in the Chicago area, Dancin’ Unlimited, Feet First Dance Company and The Loudoun Ballet Company in the D.C. metro area. She earned ballet teacher certification from the Cecchetti Council of America. She studied acting at the Theatre Lab and voice over techniques with the Such a Voice Company. She received recognition from the D.C. Metro Theatre Arts publication as one of the best actresses for the 2013 season. She works as a dance and theatre instructor at performing arts centers, dance studios and community centers.
