Assistant Director – Best 2 weeks of Summer/Week of Fun

Join a theatrical arts studio, in Chantilly, VA, specializing in musical theatre instruction.  Our summer camps allow students to participate in a final production with a focus on the process of creating a production. This is a paid position.

Immediately seeking qualified applicants to work as an Assistant Director for our Summer Camp.  Applicant must either have a BFA, BA or BS in Communications; OR be enrolled full time in the fall pursuing a BFA, BA or BS in Communications.  Preference will be given to applicants with experience working with students.  All applicants must “audition” and be willing to take on roles in the production, if needed.  Applicant will work directly with the Director and be required to lead games, supervise scene work and assist with scene work and/or choreography at the discretion of the Director.  Must be available to work all of the camp scheduled dates (see below). Applicants must have a vibrant, fun, outgoing personality and a love of working with students.

The salary is proportionate with education and experience.

  • June 17, 18, 19, 20, 21, 24, 25, 26 from 8:30 am – 4:30 pm and be available, if needed, 7 am – 9 am and/or 4 pm – 6 pm
  • June 27 from 7 am – 10 pm
  • June 28 from 7 am – 10 pm

Session 2:

  • July 22, 23, 24, 25, 26, 29, 30, 31  from 8:30 am – 4:30 pm and be available, if needed before/after camp
  • Aug 1 from 7 am – 10 pm
  • Aug 2 from 7 am – 10 pm

Session 3:

  • Aug 12, 13, 14, 15 from 8:30 am – 3:30 pm
  • Aug 16 from 8:00 am – 9:00 pm

Immediately seeking qualified applicants to work as an Assistant Choreographer for our Summer Camp.  Applicant must either have a BFA or BA OR experience with choreography/dance instruction; OR be enrolled full time in the fall pursuing a BFA, BA or BS with choreography/dance instruction experience.  Preference will be given to applicants with experience working with students.  All applicants must “audition” and be willing to take on roles in the production, if needed.  Applicant will work directly with the Choreographer and be required to choreograph, assist with choreography, lead games, supervise rehearsals and assist with scene work and/or choreography at the discretion of the Director and/or Choreographer.  Must be available to work all of the camp scheduled dates (see below). Applicants must have a vibrant, fun, outgoing personality and a love of working with students.

Immediately seeking qualified applicants to work as an Assistant Music Director for our Summer Camp.  Applicant must either have a BFA or BA (with a focus on music); OR be enrolled full time in the fall pursuing a BFA or BA (with a focus on music).  Preference will be given to applicants with experience working with students.  All applicants must “audition” and be willing to take on roles in the production, if needed.  Applicant will work directly with the Music Director and be required to lead vocal warm ups, work with groups/solos at the direction of the Music Director, lead games, supervise rehearsals and assist with scene work and/or choreography at the discretion of the Director.  Must be available to work all of the camp scheduled dates (see below). Applicants must have a vibrant, fun, outgoing personality and a love of working with students.
