Our Story

Not Just Dance is now 8 years old!! We have come a long way in a very short period. Some of our parents still remember helping to transport costumes and props between the LeKang house and “wherever” we were holding rehearsals or performances. We are so blessed to be in this facility where we can house all our sets, costumes and props; while also holding our performances and rehearsals. Our “new” walls that magically appeared during Holiday break two years ago, they allow us to hold private voice lessons, dance classes and theater classes concurrently which led to an increase in our offerings. The end result is that even more students have an opportunity to participate. The next major project was the costume mezzanine. This allows us to house more pieces and gave us the much needed space for a large dressing room. The most recent updated to the space in our new kitchenette. We were able to bring the lobby show supplies down to the main floor, regaining the much needed costume space!!

Eight years ago, we had one Musical theatre class that met one night a week. Over the years we have added additional musical theatre offerings, advanced programs, straight plays, dance classes, voice lessons, private coaching, workshops, tech theatre, summer camps and more!! We are so appreciative of our families that have been with us on this journey. You are our biggest supporters and can help tell the “story” to all of our new families. We are also appreciative to our new families who bring creativity and the vitality of “youth” both with bringing your young people to the studio but also for helping us to stay centered and always looking for ways to improve and help make Not Just Dance truly a part of this community. Over the years we have been so blessed by our volunteers that contribute financially and through service to our organization. Our village is strong, and we are so appreciative. Thank you for being a part of our journey.
