Not Just Dance is a theatrical arts studio with classes in musical theatre, theatre, dance and voice. Our students take dance to enhance their skills for musical theatre productions. Therefore, we focus on technique and learning combinations in our classes with NO recital or dance competitions. We purposely limit the sizes of our classes, to allow our teachers to get to know our students. Our students take musical theatre classes refine all of their skills and to be able to perform on our stage! Our summer camps are performance based and SO much fun!

Not Just Dance is looking for an assistant technical director for 2 of our Summer Camps, as follows:
Session 0: Pre-Camp – June 15 – 19, 2026 (daily)
Session 1: Annie Kids – June 22 – 26, 2026 (daily, weekdays, evening on the last day for performances)
Session 5: Aliens in the Castle, Euwynd. The Strong. The Mighty. – Aug. 17 – 21, 2026 (daily, weekdays, evening on the last day for performances)
Week of Fun
Join a theatrical arts studio, in Chantilly, VA, specializing in musical theatre instruction. Our summer camps allow students to participate in a final production with a focus on the process of creating a production. This is a paid position.
Immediately seeking qualified applicants to work as an Assistant Director for our Summer Camp. Applicant must either have a BFA, BA or BS ; OR be enrolled full time in the fall pursuing a BFA, BA or BS; OR have specific experience in Technical Theatre. Preference will be given to applicants with experience working with students and those pursuing a degree in theatre. All applicants must be willing to take on roles in the production, if needed. Applicant will work directly with the Technical Director/Not Just Dance Staff and be required to design and construct sets and scenery for the production. Applicant may also be tasked with costuming. And, the applicant will work as stage crew for the production. The applicant may be asked to supervise students with technical activities. Must be available to work all of the camp scheduled dates (see below).
Applicants must have a vibrant, fun, outgoing personality and a love of working with students.
The salary is proportionate with education and experience.

Voice Teacher/Music Director

In addition to private voice teachers for the 2021-2022 school year, we are looking for teachers to be music directors for our summer camp programs AND who may be interested in picking up private voice students immediately.

Private Voice Teacher / Music Director
Join a thriving theatrical arts studio in Chantilly, VA, specializing in musical theatre to include dance, acting and music. Not Just Dance is seeking Voice Teachers who are able to teach all ages, including beginners, intermediate level students and advanced intermediate level students. Our students are typically theatre students. So, helping students find their performance voice is critical to teaching at our studio. Our voice teachers provide private lessons and work as Music Directors for our many musicals that are performed every year at our facility.
Immediate Need:
Private Voice Teacher. Currently looking for teachers looking for a regular weekly schedule and substitute teachers.
- Mondays – 3 pm – 7 pm
- Tuesdays – 3 pm – 7 pm
- Thursdays – 3 pm – 7 pm
- Saturdays – 9 am – 4 pm
- Sundays (optional)
Requirements:
- At least a Bachelor’s Degree in Voice Pedagogy or Voice/Vocal Performance. Preference will be given to teachers with a Masters or Doctoral Degree
- Need to be able to work with individual students and with groups of students.
- Preference will be given to those with teaching experience
- Preference will be given to those who have helped students prepare for auditions
- Fluent English and good communication skills are required
- Preference will be given to those who can play piano
- Must have a love and passion for teaching for all levels and all goals

The Twisted Tales program is one of my favorites at Not Just Dance. I like to call this class the preperatory class because the students are learning the language and skills that they will need when they are ready to move on to our year long musical theatre classes. I love guiding these students through the exercises, watching them soak up all of the information, and learning about theatre through play (games). By the time that we begin working on their show, these students have a strong foundation of theatre knowledge. I have seen shy or unconfident students grow into bold unhindered young artists who are unafraid to take chances and become the character they are portraying. They learn to think and ask abstract questions about characterizations and theatre concepts and it never ceases to amaze me what their young, imaginative minds can come up with during our rehearsals. I am truly proud to teach, guide, and direct these young artists every class.
