Not Just Dance does offer audition workshops to prepare your student for their auditions. These workshops are completely optional. However, if you are interested in having your students participate, you must register them for a workshop.

Beginner Audition Workshop (Attend One)

Students will be taught all the elements of an audition for a musical: their slate, monologue, a short dance & a song. This will help them prepare for their audition.

Tuesday, April 16 from 5:00 – 6:30 pm or
Saturday, April 27 from 1:00 – 2:30 pm

Picking a Song and Monologue Workshops (Attend 1 or Both)

Learn how to pick material for your upcoming audition! This is a beginner/intermediate level class, great for newbies AND for those that would like a little help picking the right song and monologue. Please be familiar with the show(s) you are auditioning for: Is there a movie you can watch? Have you read the plot summary? Are you familiar with the characters?

Intermediate Audition Workshop (Attend Both)

Your student must have their monologue and song memorized prior to attending class. Students will workshop their audition – monologue and song and will receive feed back on how they can make their audition shine.

Part 1: Wednesday, April 17 from 6:00 – 7:30 pm &
Part 2: Wednesday, April 24 from 6:00 – 7:30 pm

Cold Reads – Part 1

You got a call back. Congratulations!!! Now what?! Come to this class to learn how to approach the “cold read” part of your call back. Register for part 2 separately.

“The Call Back” – Part 2

You got a call back. Congratulations!!! Now what? Come to this class to learn how to approach the call back. How do you prepare? What characters are you called back for? What does it means to be given sides and songs, and what should you do. Learns techniques to stand out from others. Register for part 1 separately.
