Twisted Tales

Twisted Tales (TM) is a unique Not Just Dance program that uses a script specifically written for this class. The 2026-2027 script will twist stories and/or characters from Spelling Bee, Frozen Kids, 13 Jr, Hadestown Teen Edition, Lion King Kids, Moana Jr, Shrek Jr and Annie Kids. This is a great entry level theatre class. This program falls under the Not Just Dance Future STaRS umbrella that also features the summer week long camp, Aliens in the Castle (TM) and the Future STaRS musical (Lion King Kids)

Ages

5 – 13

Note: While the age range for this class is 5-13, Not Just Dance reserves the right to change the minimum age for this class, based on registrations in order to create the best possible experience for all students.

Auditions

This is an entry-level theatre class designed to introduce students to the fundamentals of performance in a fun and supportive environment. Students will spend time playing theatre games and engaging in activities that teach core theatrical skills in preparation for auditions. Auditions will be held in class—there is no separate audition process. All students will prepare for auditions as part of the curriculum.

Class activities include:

Exploring and becoming familiar with characters
Exercises in characterization, rhythm, stage presence, and more

Auditions are typically held in the November/December timeframe to determine casting for the class production.

Class Day & Time

Mondays from 5:00 pm – 6:00 pm.

Once your student is registered they are in the class and will participate in the final performance(s). Please make sure the scheduled performance dates are available dates for your students before registering.

Fees

A registration fee is due at the time of enrollment.
A performance fee will be charged on November 1, 2026. This fee includes:
- A performance t-shirt
- A Blu-ray of the production
- Two tickets to the performance
- Costume cleaning and rental fees

Tuition

Tuition is divided into equal monthly payments, regardless of how many classes are held in a given month.

The first tuition payment will be processed at registration
Remaining payments will be charged on the 1st of each month, from September 2026 through June 2027

Important: This is a performance-based class. The last date to drop the class without financial obligation is October 31, 2025. After that date, parents are responsible for the full tuition. See policies for more information.

All fees—including tuition, registration, and performance fees—are non-refundable and non-transferable.
