Not Just Dance offers musical theatre classes, theatre classes, dance classes, private coaching and workshops. The tuition rates and policies are slightly different depending on the type of class. The following section explains the tuition policies as it relates to each of these programs.
Tuition 2026-2027
Registration Fee
Please use the on-line registration links to sign up for all classes, workshops and camps. A $55/student non-refundable registration fee is due at registration. This fee is per year.
Musical Theatre/Theatre/Dance/Tech
Tuition is based on the number of enrolled hours, per family, per week. By using the chart provided to the right, any enrolled family can see the monthly charges based on that enrollment. These payments are monthly charges and are not related to the number of classes in each month. We do not prorate tuition for any reason. Holidays and closures are already calculated into your monthly payments. NO REFUNDS or deductions are given if a student misses class for any reason. The chart on the bottom of the page shows the date of the first tuition payment, the date of the second tuition payment and the date of the last tuition payment based on the type of class. All payments will be automatically deducted, using the card on file, on the 1st of the month, for all months between the 2nd tuition payment and the last tuition payment.
* Hours are the total number of hours taken for all students in one family (adults and/or kids).
*** To calculate rate for 10+ hours, use the base rate of $60/hour and multiply by the number of hours enrolled per week. (For example, if it’s 12 hours per week, the rate would be 12x$60 = $720/month)
Performance Fee
All performance based classes include a one-time performance fee. The fee is $195 and includes a performance t-shirt, 2 tickets, a DVD and covers some of the rental/cleaning costs for costumes. The fee for siblings is $170 and does not include a DVD.
All Technical Theatre classes include a one-time performance fee (if your child is invited to participate back stage) per show. The fee is $195 per show and includes a performance t-shirt, 2 tickets, a DVD and the extra hours of instructor time. The sibling fee is $170 and does not include a DVD.

Examples
- Andrew takes a year-long Musical Theatre (Shrek OR Moana) and one dance class, and registers prior to Aug. 1, 2025. His total number of hours is 3 hours (2 hours for Musical Theatre and 1 hour for dance). His tuition is $282/month. Upon registration, Andrew’s family would pay the $55 non-refundable registration PLUS the first monthly tuition payment of $282. On Sept 1st, the second month of tuition will automatically be billed and charged at a rate of $282; with monthly tuition payments continuing through May 1st. His family would also pay a one-time performance fee of $195 on Nov. 1, 2026.
- Lauren takes a dance class which meets once a week for one hour per week and registers on Sept. 4, 2026. At registration, Lauren’s family would pay $55 registration fee, the 1st monthly tuition payment of $126 and the 2nd monthly tuition payment of $126. Dance classes are not performance based and therefore there is no performance fee.
- Siblings Jane and John take the year long Musical Theatre class (Shrek or Moana) and they also, each take a dance class. They registered for all of their classes before Aug 1, 2026. Their total hours = 6. At registration, Jane and John’s family would pay $110 registration fee AND the first monthly tuition payment of $456. On September 1 they will pay their second tuition payment of $456, and would continue to pay the monthly tuition on the first of the month through May 1st. The family would also pay a one-time performance fee of $365 on Nov. 1, 2026. ($195 for Jane and $170 for John).
- Suzanne registers for the ADVANCED musical theatre class Hadestown (3 hour class) and 2 dance classes (2 more hours), prior to August 1, 2026. In addition, they have registered for another year long musical theatre class, for example Shrek, but have indicated, that they only want to do ONE of the programs, the advanced class if they are invited to participate or the other musical theatre class if they are not invited to participate. We would, initially, assume that Suzanne would be invited to participate and would charge for 5 hours worth of classes/week. Suzanne’s family would pay the $55 registration fee at registration AND $405. Her total number of hours per week is assumed to be a minimum of 5 hours/week (3 hours/week for Hadestown and 2 hours/week for dance). If Suzanne is accepted into Hadestown, she will be automatically unenrolled in the other musical theatre class. The monthly tuition would be 5 hours/week which is $405/month. Monthly tuition payments of $405/month will continue from Sept through March 1, 2027. Then her family will be charged $206/month for April and May (for the 2 dance classes). If she is not accepted into Hadestown, she will automatically be unenrolled in Hadestown. The tuition fee of $344/month will be assessed from Sept 2026 – May 2027. A $61 credit will be applied for the September tuition amount ($405-$344). If Suzanne is in Hadestown, the performance fee of $195 will be assessed on Sept. 1, 2026. If she is enrolled in Shrek, the performance fee or $195 will be assessed on Nov. 1, 2026.
- Mark registers for Hadestown (Advanced Musical Theatre) class prior to Aug. 1, 2026. Mark’s family will be charged the $55 registration fee AND a $282 (the monthly tuition for a 3 hours class). In addition, Mark’s family will be contacted to discuss the dance requirement for the Advanced Musical Theatre class. Students intending to fulfill the dance requirement at another studio will need to submit a form with the relevant information verifying satisfaction of the requirement. Not Just Dance will contact the other studio to verify their enrollment. They will also have the option of registering for a dance class through Not Just Dance. The monthly tuition for the Hadestown class is $282. If Mark is then NOT invited to participate in Hadestown, the amount paid in tuition towards the Hadestown class (in this particular example, the $282), is refunded. If Mark IS invited to participate and has not provided proof of registration in a dance class, Mark will be automatically enrolled in a dance class where there are openings. Since Mark will now be taking 4 hours/week, his monthly tuition will be $344/month. At that point, a tuition charge of $62 will be charged ($344-$282) to cover the first monthly tuition payment for dance. The fees would then continue at the $344/month rate from Sept 2026 – March 2027; and then $126/month for April and May (because he is enrolled in 1 hour/week and the monthly tuition for the 1 hour/week class is $126/month). If Mark is accepted into Hadestown and has provided proof of satisfying his dance requirement, the monthly tuition amount of $282 will be assessed from Sept 2026 – March 2027. On Sept. 1, 2026, Mark’s family will be assessed the performance fee of $195.
- Jane Smith registers for Twisted Tales on Sept. 10. Looking at the chart, the charge for a 1 hour class is $126/month. The first tuition payment is collected at registration (along with the one-time registration fee) and the 2nd monthly tuition is collected on Sept. 1st. Tuition continues to be collected monthly, on the first of the month, until June 1st (the final payment). The performance fee for this class is collected on Nov. 1st. Because the registration happens AFTER Sept. 1st, the first and second tuition payments will be assessed at registration along with the one-time registration fee. So, the initial fee will be $307 ($55 + $126 + $126). The monthly tuition ($126/month) will be collected on Oct. 1st through June 1st, with a one time performance fee collected on Nov. 1st. This example applies for ANY new student that registers after Sept. 1st.
- Ronda Xiu is signed up for Moana. Her family registered on July 15th. Her initial tuition was collected on July 15th ($206) along with her one time registration fee ($55). On Sept. 1st, her second monthly tuition fee is collected ($206). She then registers for a dance class on Sept. 20th. Now Ronda is signed up for 3 hours of instruction per week. Her hourly rate goes from $103/hour to $94/hour. So, her new tuition will be $282 (3 x $94). Tuition for dance is collected on the same schedule as Moana. So, the first payment for dance was/is due at registration and the 2nd payment was/is due on Sept. 1st. Because the registration is AFTER Sept. 1st, two payments will be collected to account for the missing tuition. At registration (on Sept. 20th), Not Just Dance will collect $76 ($282-$206) for the first tuition payment (at registration) PLUS $76 ($282-$206) for the 2nd tuition payment (Sept. 1st). This example applies for ANY registrations that happen after Sept. 1st for a student (or family) that already has paid some tuition.
Private Coaching
Tuition for recurring private coaching is based on 2 hours (broken up in either one hour or 1/2 hour increments) of private coaching (voice, monologue, etc.). The current rate is available on the private coaching page. When registering for recurring lessons, the initial non-refundable payment will be assessed immediately. Once the initial 2 hours is completed, the next payment will automatically be charged. This will continue until notification, in writing, of withdrawing from private lessons.
For one-on-one private coaching that is not recurring, students can choose a 2-hour, 1 hour or 1/2 hour block. The rates are available on the private coaching website. Most students preparing for an audition choose to do either a 1- or 2-hour block broken up into equal increments of voice and private monologue coaching.

All accounts must have a zero balance on the 4th to avoid a late fee.
