I wanted to say congratulations on another two amazing shows, and thank you all so much for all of your work on Sweeney Todd and Chicago. I have enjoyed every show I’ve seen at NJD, and these two are no exception. I love that your students have the opportunity to perform in challenging shows, and you are giving them the tools and confidence to rise to the occasion.I was impressed with how well the students handled the music in Sweeney Todd, as I know how difficult Sondheim is to sing. Amazing job working with them on this music.  I loved the costuming and hair and make-up in the show. It really added to the dark theming. And while this was a dark show, I enjoyed all of the comedic elements, and the kids did a great job with that as well. I’m blown away at every show with what you are able to create with students in your tech classes. I love how students are involved in every aspect of the show, and what they create is incredible. I loved Mrs. Lovett’s Pie shop, and the chair was amazing! My favorite part was “Kiss Me, Part 2”, as I loved the timing of everything going on onstage while they were singing, especially with the chair. Our family cannot recommend Not Just Dance highly enough! Our two boys are now in their third production at NJD, and out of all of the other extracurricular activities they have participated in, NJD is their hands-down favorite. Their first year at NJD was marked by the beginning of the COVID pandemic, and we have been so impressed with how the studio has adapted through virtual classes to a safe re-opening and numerous shows. Dawne and her staff’s careful attention to the CDC guidelines and best practices have given us the confidence to send our kids back to the studio for classes and performances, and the classes have provided our kids with much-needed support from a mental health perspective. As parents, we know that childhood is a short but critical time for development and growth. It is also an opportunity to discover your passion and find a group of friends that give you a sense of belonging and accomplishment. We are so grateful that our boys have found a community of talented, caring, and fun teachers and kids, and a program that is designed to build not only their skills as actors but as confident and compassionate human beings, all while having a great time. We look forward to many more years of being in the NJD family and watching our boys continue to learn and grow!

I don’t want to recommend Not Just Dance to you, because if I do, you will want to send your kids there, and then my kids might not be able to get into the incredible classes and shows that they have available. Seriously though, if you are reading this, then you are a high-quality, conscientious parent looking for the perfect theatre program for your child(ren). You need not look any further than Not Just Dance (NJD). NJD is a truly unique, holistic, and compelling musical theatre learning experience for all school-age children. If there was an Organic, Non-GMO, Whole Foods brand of musical theatre education – NJD would be it.  My wife and I homeschool our two girls, so we are deeply intentional about what our children learn and experience as part of their upbringing. When it comes to their education, we spare no expense to give them the highest quality education possible. We want them to be well-rounded human beings, and we also want them to have exposure to opportunities that weren’t available to us when we were growing up. We live in a weird world, and in even weirder times, so we are also deeply concerned about the health and safety of our girls. Three years ago Tyler found a place that has brought him so much happiness and it was written all over his face in the photos of the High School Musical performance! Emmy followed quickly behind a year later. Tonight was opening night for Aladdin and these are still the Best Two Weeks of Summer! ❤️❤️ And Matt and I are still blown away by our NJD family! Thank you for another wonderful show! Maddy had so much fun working on Aladdin Jr and we loved seeing her the happiest she’s been since the beginning of this pandemic. As always, it’s amazing to see what can be accomplished in just 2 weeks. The casting, set and choreography were all so well done.
