All students must be registered to audition for The Wizard of Oz Deleted Scenes. Auditions will be held on Tuesday, Jan. 2 from 5 – 6 pm OR 6 – 7 pm. Please register for an audition slot via your parent portal account. The auditions will be used to determine casting and goals for each student.

Cast Descriptions can be found HERE.

Students should prepare a 1 minute monologue. They should pick a monologue that helps us to see them in a particular role, if they are going for a particular role. For example, prepare something like a princess if going for Glinda. Perhaps something funny for some of the medium sized roles. Or, prepare something sinister if going for The Wicked Witch of the West. In this particular version, Glinda has a little bit of an edge because she is not getting the story she wants. All monologues should be age appropriate. No swear words. They also should not pick a monologue that is a heavy adult themed monologue. Monologue books can be purchased through Amazon. Monologues should be memorized. Students should focus on speech (clarity/diction, volume, pacing), acting (nonverbals, appropriate movements) and characterization for the character of their monologue.

ALL registered students will participate in the production and will be cast in the show.

Please contact us if there are conflicts with the audition dates/times.
